CROCODILE INITIATION

This limited-edition two-color print titled "Crocodile Initiation" was printed from photopolymer plates on a Vandercook Number 4 Proof Press in Boulder, Colorado. The original image was drawn in pencil, then finished with ProBlack ink and a small brush. Impressions were made with Van Son rubber-based ink on French Paper Company's 140# "Muscletone" paper, of the color "Glacier".
The edition contains 47 numbered prints. In addition to these, there are 11 Artist's Proofs marked "AP," 21 Printer's Proofs marked "PP," and 17 marked "HC" (Hors de Commerce), resulting in a total of 96 numbered prints.
Each print is hand-signed, titled, and numbered by the artist. The image features a human, six mermaids, a crocodile, and a merkitten.
The edition exists on two different sizes of paper. The larger sheets are approximately 14.5" x 21.75" and are currently on special sale for $300, while the smaller sheets are approximately 11.75" x 19", for $250 (a 50% discount).
Prints are unframed, shipped flat, and include a signed colophon. A framed option is available upon request for an additional $300.

This limited edition run of Crocodile Initiation allows for subtle variation in ink density and registration, such that each print is unique. If you look closely, you may note that the top of the sheet still bears slight impressions from where the grippers fed the page into the press.
